A republic governed by Administrator and Vice-Administrator which are both elected by the nobility. The capital city is Krenburg. They just won the war with the Kingdom of Kwal but are still enemies.

Independent domain at the eastern fringes of the Kren Republic bordering the uninhabitated northern mountain range.

A dependent domain which is a fiefdom of the Barony Karen which is inside the Kren Republic.

Neighbouring kingdom to the Kren Republic. Once split off during the last religious wars, and since then a long enemy with its neighbour.

Kwal is also the name of the capital, and hoses the only university in this part of the world. Apart from the three factions of the clerics, also mages study there.

Count Radel is the son of the Count of Karenburg. His fatehr takes care of all the business of this dependent domain. Unlike most nobility, Count Radel wants more change towards a broader republic, since for now olnly nobility can elected a government.

He is about 21 in Earth years, rather tall and too slim and athlethic to align well with the contemporary ideal of beauty. He has a wild red hair and freckles, which also mekes him rather look like an irish peasant.

Head of the older fraction of the clerics. Like the pope, the Nuncipal wields absolute power over the southern province of Loma. The capital is Lomaho. The power of the Nuncipal was much bigger before the big split. A war was fought, where first the brown fraction split off, followed later but the white factions. The brown fraction have their mopdest center at Krenburg, and the white fraction does not have any central organisation, but is more common even further north.

about 800-700 years ago:
The soul mage wars who almost depopulated the entire continent. Very few older records remained. The inquisition was formed, from which the current clergy emerged.

695 years ago:
reign of the first Nuncipal restored order. Several kingdoms reformed, their size much larger than most of what remained now. (As their broke into fraction later on.)

about 420 to 405 ago:
In the war of the Great Schism, the future brown cleric denounced the Nuncipal also the representing of The Soul, as there should not exist such a being. During this way, most lands on the continent switched to the brown cleric's side, reducing the influence of the Nuncipal to a small region between the southern sea and the Loma desert. The Queendom of Kren was formed in 405.

149-148 ago:
The great famine 149 years ago led to the revolution in Kren and the subsequent formation of the Kren Republic. The same famine also further split the clergy into the brown and white fractions, the white fraction forfeited all income from tariffs and taxes and relied just on donations and begging. They also moved away from Krenburg, since they did not want to have a base.

Two years ago:
After another bad harvest, the Kingdom of Kwal declared war on the neighbour, the Kren Republic. That war jus ended with the capitulation and the start of the story.
