Rather, his true fate was to die on his way home, killed by assassins and made to look like an accident. With rain coming down, Ver closed his eyes only to be taken back to the "tutorial" scene. Regression, albeit limited to a certain number of times per "episode" of the game. If he or the hero died, Ver would regress back to the start of the "episode." Protecting his loathsome hero from demons who seek his death while dealing with the schemes of the powerful figures that walk the academy grounds, all wanting the hero.
