Konoshira Mai is a tester working under the entity responsible for managing the creation and health of new worlds. A single world can have thousands of simulations alone making tedious and boring. The boon is a seemingly infinite lifespan in exchange for giving up your old life. This exchange is more than worth something as ‘small’ as writing off a little thing like lifespan according to the {World System}. Not everyone is suited to this type of work and training is expensive afterall!
This was all deskwork with digital visualizations of the data until what seems like not long ago to Konoshira. Suddenly, mental health in the workplace became a major concern after centuries of such tedium. Konoshira was a rare and talented office worker who excelled and even enjoyed this mundane work.
Konoshira was promoted to her chagrin as part of the control group. Her and roughly 100 other employees received a {Nanny System} and now directly enter simulations rendered as if they were real worlds. These {Nanny Systems} were also programmed to make this new variety of tests as easy to understand as possible compared to stark data. Konoshira has spent the last 10 years confronting tasks to either protect, destroy, or redirect {Plotlines}.
Should she consider herself lucky that she was assigned to the partner group and hadn’t had to tangle with these messy subjects alone?

Disclaimer: I’ve been wanting to practice my writing and have been reading a lot of world-hopping stories. My biggest struggle has always been overediting myself to the point I can’t finish chapters. As such, I’m winging this, but truly hope you enjoy it. (Already has an outline of the plot so, this is mainly referring to the grammar and writing style.)
