tldr: used to be entertaining, now MC is just collecting stuff without making much progress.

It's a bit like a dungeon core story, especially considering that the MC is basically stuck in one place. He's pretty much just amassing resources and people but there's not much of an idea of what's next. There doesn't seem to be an end because enemies just spawn infinitely and every time there seems to be progress, it turns out he's only made a tiny step in a giant marathon. It's like mid to late game in a gacha game where you've already beaten the story and the only things left are dailies, arena, and waiting for the devs to release new content that'll probably just be another side story adventure with the same old gameplay and a slightly stronger boss, though you might switch it up by sending in one of the hundreds of heroes you haven't bothered to use before *cough* Epic 7 *cough*.

The protagonist is selfish, an esclavagist, bad at geopolitics and ressources management (seriously, if you tax the village when you don't have a part in is stupid, the economy CAN'T stand ! If you make a deal "protect but in exchange you help me grow a LOT, you have more benefits in less time), the elves seems brainwashed (the side chapter about Lausanne is magistral), but yet... yet... there is so much potential I can't stop the reading, but each times I'm angry because Treetree (seriously?) is a dumbass; he was human and kept his memory intact, it should be a bonus with ampathy (even if it's only for profit), not a paranoid bastard. I feel pity for the New Frekans, who are going from Charybdis to Scylla.

This story is good! 4 stars out of 5!

It's one of my favorites, easy. Main character is unique compared to the average main characters of other stories. There are times when MC is awesome, and there are times when MC is just plain stupid and annoying.

There are a TON of time skips, but that's alright. I think the time skips make sense since main character is a literal tree. Not to mention that time skips aren't so commonly used on other stories compared to this one. The use of many time skips are one of the key factors that make this story interesting and worthwhile.

There are parts of the story that I love, as well as there are parts that I dislike. Overall, I love this story! It's well balanced and well-written despite the slightly-bad grammar and punctuation.

I can see why this story is one of the top stories on scribblehub. To those reading this, just a reminder that this story is also on Royal Road. I recommend this to newbies both on scribblehub and royal road.
