After reading the bit of this that is released, I only have one thought.

Holy sh*t.

This couldn't be any further removed from the typical cliche stories that comprise 95% of this website. I love stories that are unique and take place in deep, interesting worlds, and this perfectly fits the bill.

The story is extremely loosely based on christian mythology (not religion) but incorporates small ideas and elements from contemporary fantasy styles to bring about a fascinating world that I honestly can't compare to anything.

The story grabs you from the very first sentence, throwing you directly into the middle of the conflict while slowly feeding you information to piece the situation together, but never making you feel like you're "left out" like so many stories that try to write this way do.

There's only one fatal flaw in this story. 6 chapters and 2 extra chapters that give a little setting. I hope and pray that this author can keep up the momentum of the story and live up to this beginning they created. If they can do that, this story has every right to take one of the top rankings here.
