Sentient Artificial Intelligence - Although the Term AI and human like AI have been a staple of Sci-FI since the earliest Sci-Fi pulp fictions of the 30's, 40's, and 50's Adding Sentient at the Beginning separates her from Modern AI which is just really cleaver coding. Since in our era AI is everywhere, your smart phone has AI, your video game has a bunch of AI, but none of them are Sentient. I first read the Term in Trouble With Horns. Over on TGST, and honestly I loved it, as it separates mundane AI from something really cool and totally Sci-Fi. Our MC is a SAI now. She is the SAI of a starship which is totally not the SR-2 Normandy from Mass Effect. :p
Earth Federation Starship Omaha Beach (EFS Omaha Beach) Stealth Reconnaissance Frigate- Is totally not the SR-2 Normandy, I mean the Omaha Beach is White and Dark Grey while the SR-2 is White and Black. :p
Hey, fan Fiction, but seriously, there are some differences, as it's only marginally a fan fiction. In stead of Shepard saving the Galaxy from AI driven Reapers, Hawk is saving the Galaxy from Slavers. I imagine the universe the EFS coming from is the Porn Sci-FI universe. Basically Commander Hawk He saved the Galaxies Women aliens and Human, from the Slavers who were trying to build the ultimate harem. Hawk saves the day, the EFS Omaha Beach saves Hawk and his Harem, but gets lost in deep space.
Yes Commander Hawk had lots and lots of Blue Baby Half Aliens. Because yah. P,s, I only play a Fem Shep BTW, and yes I romanced Liara.
