Synopsis

In a world where 99.9% of all men were wiped out and future births only had a 0.1% chance of being male, the role of men in society became that of celebrities graciously donating their seed to the masses. With the world population declining, pregnancy has become a social status, affording women government assistance, health insurance, and citizenship should they find a man to bless them with seed. With an only 1 in a 1000 chance of finding a guy, many women will do anything it takes to get close to a man and become pregnant. And should those women bear a male, it’s like winning the lottery, the remainder of their lives set as they receive massive stipends and no responsibility but to nurture their sons. Clyburn was reincarnated into such a world. Can a former unsuccessful business man properly navigate a female-centric world full of woman who just want to use him for his seed? With an overprotective mother, two caring sisters, and the memories of another world, he might just.

TL;DR: read at your own risk, do not trust the first 12 chapters!! READ COMPLETE REVIEWS AS WELL! Apparently this novel gets way worse than what I experienced.

There was the potential for something great, but it's spoiled by how the author choose to bring up the plot and the total idiocy of the MC and his mother. First, it is stated that the MC is a 35-yo man reincarnated into a 13-yo boy, and that this means that altough his mental capacity is not exactly the same as before his reincarnation it still gives his the substantial benefit of having more perspective about the consecuences of his actions. This is not my opinion, but a statement from Chapter 14:

    Spoiler

I ran through the mansion I called home, something I had 100% familiarized myself with at this point. Any discrepancies between my memories had long been resolved. As to what "mental age" I was, that was a complicated question. It wasn't truly like my 35 years of life were just added to 13. It more was like a 35 year old mind was mixed with the thoughts of a 13 year old, creating a blend of both.I still had teenage hormones which were just starting to erupt. I was still prone to childish outbursts such as when I stuck out my tongue. The major difference was that I had a lot of experience to pull from, so where a normal teenager might feel justified in their actions and wronged by their punishments, I was better at self-reflection and realizing my mistakes. It was probably better this way. I seemed like a mature kid, but not offputtingly mature. Most everyone just blamed any changes in my attitude on growing up and becoming a teenager.

    [collapse]
I can perfectly understand the whole teenage hormones, especially considering it's a fantasy universe with fantasy biology (rateo of male to female in pregnancy is 1:1000) which is why I did not have much issues with the MC being clearly tricked into giving away his cum in Chapter 12.
    Spoiler

About this, I have more than a few complains as well.

    1. I understand how in a society where pregnancy is paramount and is considered the main duty of all women birth controll is still around (hormones regulations and the likes), but what about rubbers? Anyway, this is just a minor issue, not really a flaw in world building.
    2. Sperm does not mantain its efficacy long enough for reselling it to the black market after storing it inside a rubber... but hey, fantasy biology right?
    3. It is implied that MC's familiy is somewhat wealther than the average, which brings me to the question... why the heck did the loyal maid not ask for help to Morgan (MC's mom), instead resigning from the work and scamming the 13-yo child of her long-lasting employer/master?
      [collapse]
I did not enjoy at all the mother-son relationship. Besides my personal dislike for it and every too much older with too much younger relationships (13yo is kinda pedo bruh), the adult here (MC's mother) has no common sense at all as well as does not behave as an adult in any way. And that's obliviously ignoring the distorted society they live in, I'm talking about decision making, logic, responsability, communication, self-control, sense of decency. But what really, REALLY made me drop this is the behaviour of the MC and the way the author moves up the story, but let's tackle one thing before the other. First, the MC: he realizes he f**ks up, but the author continues to make him do the same mistakes by not having him behave like he should as being stated in Chapter 14 (the above spoiler I wrote at the very start). There is no character development of the MC beyond words and his actions are constantly against his own reasoning... which is totally flawed more than once, again understandable if he were a 13-yo child, but he's not. As many have writen in the chapters' comments, the MC is a delusional 13-yo that's convinced of being a 35-yo reincarnator. In general, Morgan's (MC mother) and Cyndaquil's (our MC which I cannot remember the name beyond a C and a Y) characters are twisted by the author in something they should not be for... plot reasons. Then, we finally have how the author weaves the plot and makes it move forward: without any sense, by pushing the MC to f**k anyone, at anytime!
    Spoiler

For example, in Chapter 16 MC gets raped again and has an emotionally intensive situation, to the point that he goes to his 15-yo elder sister and starts crying... you would expect that  after such moment of fragility there would be a siblings-bonding scene that exposes his 13-yo self and gets him closer to the sister, a character development scene wioth significant wheigh in the evolution of the relationship with her. Well, in the next chapter they just f**k! No talk about his emotional state, nothing of the sort, they just enter her room and f**k. This is not how a 15-yo sister behaves towards a little brother she cares about/is attracted to, btw. Or again, in chapter 19 after a clusterf**k happened, which I will not spoil, he's basically going to talk to the little elder sister because they totally need to talk about a really big event that was totally bound to be revealed to everyone living in the house, when he hears his... aunt I guess? crying (after she behaved in not a great way), so he stops going to his sister and... guess what, he f**ks the aunt!

    [collapse]
This had potential, and there are quite a few good things that are worth a read in the story, but I cannot stand all of the above (and more I did not wrote). I really liked how the relationship was developing with the siblings for example.
Oh, and props to Brooke for not standing the sh*tty behaviour of Morgan.
EDIT: Oh Gosh, reading the other reviews I'm glad I dropped this. Read other reviews!! Apparently this novel gets way worse than this.

If you can get past how utterly repulsive the main character is, it's a great story. It's just a really high hurdle and subverts expectations.

    Spoiler

This is not Mushoku Tensei. He is not Rudeus. He will begin out disgusting, and only get worse. He will start out as a horny recluse with questionable morals and slowly evolve into a habitual abuser. His actions only become worse as he does the exact opposite of his claims, almost never acknowledging his own actions.

    [collapse]

The smut scenes are quite good and the world is interesting and fairly fleshed out. While I'd never want to live there, it's interesting to think about how such a messed up society could exist and did draw me in for far longer than I would have thought. The magic system is a bit odd, but seems pretty engaging in how it was implimented. The drama is paced at a fairly good speed though sometimes it is jarring.

I'd recommend this to anyone who can ignore/pardon the MC for his increasingly disgusting behavior.

Difficult to give this story a rating, honestly it's better than his other stories, but I wouldn't call it great. Honestly it's a shame about volume 3, because before than I would say this story was preety good, but Volume 3 was bad.

At the very least though, it helped me figure out why everyone was calling the MC an idiot, after reading volume 3 it was obvious. The writer abuses the Idiot Ball trope. For those not in the know the idiot ball trope is where a character suddenly becomes stupid/stupider, for the sake of the plot. It is usually seen in OOC events, but occasionally some writers' ret-con those scenes by giving excuses such as drunk, magic, tricks, grief, etc.

The MC was never the brightest bulb in the bunch, but so long as you're character is progressing and improving people for the most part are fine with it. The first volume was him stuck in his own bubble. The second was him experiencing it for the first time, so the MC is given some leeway in terms of dumb things he can get away with, but in volume 3 his character definitely regressed, and even if you give an excuse, it's obvious to you as a reader that it's for the sake of the plot. After all, if the character wasn't an idiot *blank* wouldn't happened.

Clyburn, the MC, actually has moments of competency so it's obvious it's less that the character is dumb, and more that he HAS TO BE dumb.

If I had to guess; the author probably had an idea or two for certain plot threads, but then decided to change them retconning them as best he could, but in doing so the tone was f-ed up, and the idiot ball trope was abused.

I don't know if I'll read the next volume. I liked 1 and 2 very much, but reading 3 was quite difficult.

Started out amazing and the world-building is also amazing but the MC is so hard to read that I can't put up with reading beyond this chapter.

I can't add more without spoiling it for new readers that may enjoy the novel.

But world building is amazing the actually people not amazing and the MC is the worst by far with how stupid he is

I stopped reading after 25ish chapters. It just got so painful to read about a fully grown man with the wisdom and intelligence of a 13 year old comic book fan.  The setting and prose are actually surprisingly very well thought out and interesting. How the author depicts women is, in my opinion, accurate. Women are no better or worse then men in everyday life. It's in the extreme ends of the behavioral spectrum that really show any difference between the s*xes. The problem with the story is the MC, His incompetence and inability to learn from his mistakes to only repeat them over and over again is frustrating. His actions have no logical consistencies. If you wanted your character to be a hormonal moron then don't include a 37 year history with a wife and successful business as his backstory, you could have just had him die as a teenager or early 20 something then get transmigrated. His poor choices with his family can be partly explained with hormones but seriously, what kind of grown man in a weak child's body would think its okay to act as if he is Batman/Sherlock Holmes?

Reading this novel is like watching a train wreck; and just when you think its over, it gets worse. I enjoyed the first 20-30 ch of fluffy smut, I should have stopped there. After that the novel vacillates wildly between otaku comedy and monstrous tragedy.

It starts out pretty bad/annoying. You start out in volume 1 thinking it's going to be more slice of life, especially with the way the MC was acting, but drama start coming in and our MC makes some terrible choices. It seems the author intentionally made it so and acknowledges his flaws.

In volume 2, becomes much better, but the scale of events continue and the drama continues. It isn't a bad thing and the MC has matured a bit, but he still makes bad decisions/moves causing you to groan here and there.

Volume 3, which I finished the author's website, is really good in way. It starts out really weird, but as you get settled in, it becomes amazing, but also frustrating, not because of the MC, but because of the world.

Overall amazing world and characters, but you have to tough out some frustrating moments.

Just needs to be stated this is not a happy story. Just to clarify because I always fear it in any dark/tragedy r-18 stuff there is no NTR in it (thank god) but it is very dark. It deals heavily with mental illness in a world with nothing resembling normal interpersonal relationships.

It's really well written and the story kept me heavily invested as I marathoned the rest of the chapters available on the authors website.

Over the past two weeks I have done nothing but come home from work and read this story for several hours till I have to force myself to sleep.

If you are looking for simple-braindead-smut, this is not your story.

If you are looking for a simple male power fantasy harem wish fulfillment, this is not your story.

If you are looking for a story where our protagonist will take a few licks and bruises before eventually manning up, go on a Shounen training montage, and barely save the day right before antagonists wins, this is not your story.

World of Women is a rollercoaster of emotions. Not the type you see a small county fair, but the sh*t you see at theme parks that seem to be designed to want to kill you.

Some nights, after reading a few chapters, I'm too excited to fall asleep right away.

'Is Cly gonna finally get her to sleep with him?'  'Holy sh*t! What a f**king twist!'  'Wtf! A twist within a twist!'

A lot of nights, I go to sleep mentally cursing the protagonists immaturity and naivete. I force myself to swallow the fact the Cly is still a teenager. Yes, he's mentally in his mid thirties, but so am I. A majority of people in thirties still don't have their sh*t together.  As of volume 4. We follow Cly through basically 5 years of his transmigrated teenage life. A majority of the screen time happens during the most dramatic and eventful parts of his life, when the world just absolutely sh*ts on him. We don't get to read about the boring and peaceful times Cly has with his family.

I believe this has turned off quite a few readers who aren't familiar with this type of pacing.

There is also very little short term gratification in this story. I mean, yes, the hard to get women will eventually f**k him, and yes, he'll make it out of the situation alive' most of the time. But, it is the cost and outcomes of his decision making that will leave quite a few people feeling frustrated, myself included, on several occasions.

Yet I couldn't stop reading. This is most likely my favorite novel on scribble hub. I haven't felt this giddy about a webstory since I first found out the 'lemon' tag in fanfictions in 2004.

I implore all potential readers to keep on reading when you encounter your first mental block with story. Just swallow it. And then keep on reading. Then do it again after the 2nd, 3rd, and 4rth block.

This story will completely f**k with your mind. It will make you horny and then make you depressed. It'll make you laugh and then make you feel disgusted. It'll confuse and piss you off. You'll sometimes want to break the device you're reading on.

But, I think that's what makes World of Women great. It makes you feel.

Soo, it was a great start, then he gets rape,

    Spoiler

he pardons the girl who raped him, but she eneded up a drug addict and he only made it worse for her by giving her what she needs to get even worse! Of a drug addict.

    [collapse]

The logic or the behaviour of men in this world is based on some dudes book on how to treat women like cattle/objects,

    Spoiler

heck during the school arc, the teacher makes an example on the first day of class with a naive girl, literally taking her virginity infront of everyone without even getting her wet, a literal forniphilia infront of all the boys in which the MC is the only one who gets upset.

    [collapse]

There are a bunch of feminist and some super extreme that the victim aint really the other boys but the poor/rediculously dumb MC who cant even adjust to the world and remains impulsive and headstrong with the values of his old world without actually slightly adapting to the ways of the new world.

Just read this for the 18+, the story itself can just frustrate you. I recommend his other book "the power of creation"
