Ares is the only boy in his family of magic-users, and maybe because of that he's always felt a little out of place. When he stumbles across a wish spell scroll, he thinks that it's going to solve all of his problems. But when the spell instead gives him a girl's body, he panics. Can the family unite to help Ares get back to his normal self? And how long can Ares go before he starts to enjoy some of the perks of being a girl? Either way, school starts back up soon and they'll need to find an answer, one way or another, before then.

This story is adorable! It does a great job balancing happy outcomes while still leaving enough personal conflict to leave you feeling engaged.
And although this isn't a huge epic that does vast amounts of original world building, I really appreciated all the little touches here and there that portrayed a creatively imagined "magic" world which wasn't just a rip-off of Harry Potter.
Obviously this story is very focused on being trans, and I can't speak for how appealing it might be to someone who doesn't have that experience themselves, but as for me at least this is definitely now one of my favorite stories.

Fantastic story! You can feel the confusion and struggle in the protagonist with their change and how people get to adapt and understand the reason of this change, it also shows the struggles that comes with people that might not accept you. Wishes are complicated and even when we might get what we want in a heartbeat there is still things we will have to fight for and that we need to understand ourselves better and what we really wish, there is an adorable story here waiting to be read and I recommend it to everyone who deals with transgender issues.
