I mean that. This is written so skillfully. It knows how to pull you into the world and drag you along, grinding and suffering all the while. I was convinced this was misery p*rn after the academy arc but I kept reading to see if this was like A Wish to Grab Happiness.

But man this REALLY shouldn't be a Naruto fanfic. Or a fanfic of anything really. It legit feels like the setting of Naruto drags the novel down. And it's worth mentioning that the main cast is isolated from our MC for a very long time. Where I stopped, he still hasn't interacted with anyone that's not an OC.

If a strongly written Naruto fanfiction is what you came here for, look elsewhere. This doesn't hit those notes or satisfaction points. But if you want a well-written novel that just so happens to take place in Naruto, step right up.

This story should have been a solid 5 star with no complaints, BUT I give it a 4 star for the fact his talent during his school exam was faulty as hell. He clearly demonstrated the ability to see through illusions and the instructor just ignores this SUPER AWESOME sensory gem of a ninja and pushed him into the grunt solder corps. So yes super disappointed his talents got flushed down the shatter. Lost interest after that.

Been reading this for a while now and just realized there aren't many reviews for the story. If you've been looking on this site you'll quickly realize that 99% of the stories on here are not original and most are just the bog standard reincarnation harem op MC sh*t over and over again. This story is the only thing I've found on this site that would be able to maintain the same rating if it were on lightnovelpub or pandanovel or any other site that has novels with much better average quality. The writing and story are great and the MC actually goes through struggles that make you feel like his actions are slowly paying off. If you want a good story - not just a good fanfiction, make sure to check this out and stick with it.

a good premise, all characters seem to have their own thoughts and needs so no one dimensional characters and a stable world building! People tend to forget that the world that naruto is based on is anything but kind and this novel portray this pretty damn well, easily one the best fan fics i've ever read! But be aware that if naruto is a shounen then this will be a seinen, maybe not for everyone.

I really like this story and would strongly recommend it. It is a bit more of a slow burn for action as our main character takes some time adjusting to the world and training. He eats a lot of L's before getting his W's which seems to be an issue for some readers.

 Only once has there been a section where the author got "obsessive" with detail but it was quickly acknowledged by the author and was wrapped up in two chapters. Even then the chapters were interesting and written well.  

 The characters feel real in their depictions and actions. Even if I don't agree with their actions I can understand where they come from and I think that goes to show how well they are written. I personally binge read the entire series within a couple of weeks till I got up to date around CH_9.48 (363).  I am actively waiting for more releases each week but I can proudly state that this story is worth the wait for the level of quality we get. 

This series is what peak fan fiction is to me, taking a well known world and making it your own while playing with a per-established set of rules and expanding on topics from a different perspective. I want to keep gushing and singing praises for this series and will probably do so again as I continue to read.

TLDR; Wonderfully crafted characters with a sense of depth to them. Vivid depictions of battles that allow me to see the fights as I'm reading them. Great sense of tension for each conflict. No actions or conclusions feel out of left field and make sense given the context. Wonderful series that I urge people to give a chance.

Since Arc 4 the whole books feels like a crime thriller. You can change the names and places, and u would still end up with the same feel. While going with originality the author forgot what made Naruto great and fundamentally changed it for the better or for the worse, its up to the reader. Props to him though, if it was a standalone novel it would be an okay read.

The problem for me with the book starting with this whole police arc was that it simply feels like filler, it felt like I was reading filler when he was doing police work. I don't know how someone manages to create filler for a novel, but here it is. The only part that was nice was the ring, it was something I could imagine in a military settlement which isn't at war. 

The ring fundamentally gave him an artificial war without the risk of death, him going and selling drugs to get enough money for healing himself is also fair, but  I understand. How does it make sense that he could sell drugs  in a village full of other ninja? I don't believe he is so lucky that no Chunin ever saw him, this whole story is how he has no system and sh*t. That by itself is what is bothering me, slow paced yet no attention to detail. The only detail we are always focused on is the ones that don't add anything to the story.

Another problem I cannot help but point out is that the side characters are all one or two dimensional, this story should be slow paced, so why are all the characters so under-developed? The writing feels like its dynamic, with arc 4 I can see the author took a risk and went all out, but it ended up as a flop. It feels like he did a lot of research, but his execution of the whole true crime arc feels sloppy at best. 

What caught me by surprise when he went and did the raid behind his superior's back is that no one asked him how he exactly got his info for the raid? It was explained partially after the raid when Yakumi and Setsuna interrogated him, but its still suspicious as hell. Like imagine, a new guy who worked less than a few months goes and does a raid behind your back, you're his boss and you know he isn't "THAT" smart, how come he managed to get a raid on a bunch of big shots, and yet has no explanation for even the smallest details, his notes weren't explained to us as the reader, yet Kano read them and she was "WAUW" like god damn. Where the f**k is the proof that the notes are even real? Where is the proof that the info Takuma got was from a reputable source. Just for these things alone he should have been taken accountable. 

I see that the author has spirit, he did a lot of research, I appreciate it. It's admirable, but the execution is awful. The whole arc felt boring like watching a filler arc. The characters haven't even developed in any way until now. If u skip arc 4 and go directly to arc 8 nothing changes, takuma is still a f**king genin, with more jutsu, maybe smarter and stronger. By the time we hit chapter 1000 he "might" be a jonin maybe.

If u go all in, then go all in. Either make this slow paced and detailed, or make is fast paced and less detailed, but don't make it slow paced and less detailed. Its boring as f**k, and it feels like every chapter is repeating itself. The true crime aspect had no good pay off at all because of its lackluster execution. And it is still ongoing in arc 5, no wonder there are less people reading.

"Despite all the negative reviews out there, I would like to say that this story is amazing in its own way, especially in terms of realism. I've read a lot of fanfics, and this one, so far, is one of the best. Everyone says the MC is weak and that there is no visible progression in his strength or character, but what do you expect? Would you act any differently if you were in his situation? I think not. Yes, there are some foolish decisions, and it's hard to get through the first 80 chapters, but afterward, you can't forget this story. Everything is done thoughtfully, and it is truly a pleasure to read a fanfic with logic behind the character development, world-building, relationships, etc. At the moment, I see only one downside to this story—it makes it hard to start a new fanfic in the Naruto universe where the MC is unreasonably overpowered.

I love it so much. The loophole on the Naruto series are explained really well in this story. MC are not broken overpowered, but start weak and grow stronger little by little (I like it, kinda real, because in real life, progress are also slow a f) Story also progressed slow and not rushed, but still give important story for the next chapter. (I like it, slow story ussually give attention to the details and make story more richer in content, also make it not repetitive or not original)  I kinda worried when he is already a little above his peers. I hope the power balance with his peers are not too great and makes any other NPC in the story seems not important, power wise.

Best Naruto fanfic I ever read. Not perfect, but what is ?

It's really slow, MC is still a Genin after 200 chapters, and there is a lot of setback.

But the author make such a good job, that it's addicting. Progess is earned in this fanfic.

The entire shinobi world feel so much bigger then in the original story, and not because he increased numbers. You also get a lot more focus on the interaction of the civilian and ninja side of the world.

The broken power system (in my opinion) of Naruto is largely fixed, but he is still at the bottom of the ladder, so we will have to see; but Jonin actually feel like 'Elite Ninja' while in the original story, after a 100 chapters, every Ninja was a Jonin.
