One lucky/unlucky guy wanted to play One Piece as Luffy. And he’s doing just that. Literally!
Current Arc: Water 7
.
Extended Summary:
All I know is this is just wrong. I was just reading the latest chapter of One Piece in my computer. And an annoying survey popped up asking me if I want to play One Piece new beginning. Thinking nothing of it I said yes.
And selected 'Realistic' difficulty.
There was a game loading screen. Loading gibberish, and warning me that the world has a lot of surprises in store for me. Not all things are same, because I had to choose the 'developer's time-line'.
And then telling me to brace for Character Synchronization. And before I knew it, I was no longer your average Joe. And this wasn't earth either... no this was One Piece.
And, I was Monkey D. Luffy. The future King of pirates.
I mean what could go wrong? If Luffy could do it, so could I.
But this wasn't the same One piece world I remember. Some changes are small like Kuina being Zoro's rival… who's alive.
While others were huge. Like... did you know, Whitebeard had an actual beard?! Man looked like Santa Claus on steroids. Jaked and shit!
Just what did I get myself into?
But does it matter?
No.
Because I'm going to have the time of my life. This was going to be one heck of an adventure.
.
A/N: Don't worry most of the changes are relatively small and even though it's a slight AU. I won't change the world much. Hopefully...
This story is also in Fanfiction and WebNovel by me.
Also, Luffy will get with more then one woman. But anything related to romance doesn't even come until, chapter 225. Even then, the main theme of the story is power fantasy, gaining in power, with a bit of romance here and there.
I've tried so hard to read through this but it's clear no proofreading is ever done to any chapters after chapter 1. FIrst of all, it's not bad. There are some inconsistencies that aren't explained like Kuina being alive or how Luffy completely changes and no one asks questions but there are some stuff that are just weird. Like when Luffy took out Buggys crew and then said he wants to touch himself OUT OF NOWHERE.
The worst issue in reading this is the grammar and spelling. It's bad. I struggled through in hopes of it improving but it's quite the opposite. It's been getting worse and worse, chapter 1 is probably the most legible out of all the chapters because the author most likely made an effort to proofread it and fix the mistakes. After that, no proofreading is done at all and it is quite obvious. There are too many obvious mistakes that could've been fixed if it was read over even just once. From misspellings plaguing each chapter to even at times incomplete sentences. All could have been avoided if they actually put it in the effort to proofread rather than churn out chapter after chapter.

I tried. But nah this is one of those ''Transmigrated as Luffy and I'll things my way'' wish fulfillment novel. I had great expectation especially how the writer took time to train kid Luffy but that's pretty much it.
We have a slightly narcisstic MC who has a similar way of speaking like Luffy but with a tone of over confidence. He adds random people to join the crew, which obviously gonna go to sh*t unless you are Oda. Kuina is somehow alive, which means a great deal of Zoro's character building should've been non existent, yet we see no change in Zoro.
Guess it isn't a big deal, considering Zoro is just another character in the crew. There is no chemistry between them considering Luffy is showboating half of the time, The problem with adding new crewmembers is that the writer has to build them from scratch, which takes a lot of time, extra enemies to be created to fight them and most of all, the Merry Go itself won't sustain. Oh yeah, Nami is a semi pervert out of nowhere too.
The thing which baffles me is that, the MC has the knowledge of events until Wano and yet we don't see a good story to build upon. It is good for you everyday self fulfillment trope tho
