Starts really good and strong and maintains a good balance, then from chapter 42 to the stuff I skimmed all the way to 60 doesn't show growth but a degradation. The characters make reference and talk about specific things or make conclusions that are already correct but instead of saying or sharing things then going on about how smart they are is horrendous. I won't be reading any further personally cause I hate reading and seeing characters go from having a good baseline and growth to eating a whole buffet of stupid.
If you can get past all that the story is really good but I personally have issues with sudden unreasonable character changes out of the blue like that. Especially when a person calls out the name of another person then the author says the character is telling the honest truth when 3 paragraphs ago literally has them calling each others names.
