Hello, I am Ray Gremory, and I think... I killed Rias Gremory...
I am the second son of Duke Zeoticus and Duchess Venelana Gremory. I apparently was born when Rias should have been. I am the only other child my parents have, so that is why I said I killed Rias Gremory. Oh, and my older brother is the Devil King, Sirzechs Lucifer, that I am constantly compared to because I was also born a Super Devil, sigh. How do I know I took Rias's spot? Because when I was 4 years old, I was kicked in the head by one of our family camels and regained a few of my past life's memories. Damn, I forgot most of the story-line of my new world, so nothing is going right in my new life. "Please God help me..." *PAIN*... "Ouch, Damn you God!"
Harem Fan always drops a banger any delay is worth it, and he's a funny dude, he commonly replies to comments and uhhh what else... Oh yea he writes good seggs scenes!
(I'm totally not Biased)

It's a solid start. The author can write some decent humor and does not hesitate to change things. The MC isn't some dumbass who wants to "preserve the canon" and understands butterfly effect, he also isn't some weirdo who completely remembers all of dxd's plot and lore. He seems to act his biological age probably because of how and when he got his memories and isn't an irredeemable, painful to read pervert. Ray's a pretty genuine and nice guy all round. As of chapter 13, we're in his childhood arc so all that's left to do is to see how it goes from here.
edit: why the hell did I spoiler the sh*t that's in the synopsis

If this isn't your first time reading a Harem-Fan novel then you already know you're in for a treat. Same sorta humor and storytelling as in his other works.
If this is your first time reading a Harem-Fan novel then let me tell you that you have struck gold. This one tells the story of a guy isekaied into an alternate universe version of DxD as the male version of Rias. A bop on the head when hes found Grant's him his memories of his past life and he sets about trying to prepare for the plot while living his best life. Lots of humor, some action and some very satisfying face slapping.
So far the story has just reached the start of the canon so let's see how this progresses.
Also for a gold time check out HF's other works as they are well worth your time.

It was a very good novel, where it took inspiration from the source material. I was excited to see when the Loki arc was going to come around, or if Rias was going to pull a Ravel and join in rating games under Ray. I very much enjoyed the story where it was and will miss seeing updates for it. For the chapters it has, I believe that one should read it for the depth of the story, as well as the planning that the author had for it. I was a bit worried at the beginning and thought that Harem-Fan, was going to make the chess pieces all female, however was surprised to see that there were male members in Ray's Chess Pieces. I would have liked to see how Ray's aura would have worked later down the line with other mythologies. I guess ending it there was the most sense and at the end of an arc instead of in the middle of one.
If you like Highschool Dxd, this novel would be a nice refreshing Soda, sweet when needed to be and fuzzy when Ray turn 18.

It is a nice read if you are into the series. The autor stopped for a while because of health issues but started posting again.
How good of a story this is will be seen further down the road when there is more story progression done, for now it is solid enough though.
