Status: ch 43 – a secret pathway

It started really nice, but then more and more things were introduced and now it just absolutely boring. Chapters are not that big and completely filled with unneeded dialogues. I forgot how long ago mercenaries entered the cave and how long ago MC started to kill them. It is like one interesting event for 3-4 chapters at best. And there are at least 3 groups of mercenaries, two groups of goblins and only one group of MC's pov. And they constantly switchin. Sometimes 2-4 times a chapter. And what's left is a dialogue "dude, I don't wanna go in that cave. Maybe we shouldn't?" But it takes about 20-30 lines. Wtf? There is just no space left for something interesting.

15 lines of MC's dialogue per 3-4 chapter? That's just awful. And MC sometimes does really dumb things just for the sake of it being dumb. That really irritates. It is bad enough because of how there is everything and so nothing, and then there is this. Author tries to write several plot lines at once and in the end writes nothing in particular. Haaaaaah...

You should've just written all of this from MC's pov. Maybe also mercs's if you want to show how MC crushed them from first person. And occasional pov for his girls. And that's it. 10-20 chaps MC's pov, 1-2 of another. Then it would've been interesting.

For now it feels the same as if you get some ingredients for your tea, pancakes and ice cream; some meat, potato, some noodles, tomatoes and even chocolate, and then mixed them together, boiled and dumped on a plate to eat. Little part of everything and it tastes like sh*t, when you could've make every thing separately and it would've been awesome.

I may continue reading a few chapters but I story is just to slow for me, we are 55 chapter in and the initial act isn't finished and you can still count the hours since he awake.

I just read 20 chapters of someone just going into a corridor then dieing then the next guy repeat it with barely any explanation of how or why. I love dungeon master story but that is just stupid. If you where 200 chapter in and spend at least 50 explaining you traps then showcase of them would get impressive, but when the intruder is isolated and a your first 2 point trap work, why did I just read you using 8000 point to kill another guy?

The multiple POV doesn't add anything to the story and I just skip most of them, if you protagonist's least than half of the story to him, is he really THE protagonist.

The setting of the world is barely introduce, is it high magi tech or low? Do adventurers using enchanted weapon or iron pitchforks? Do the God actively involve themselves in this world? Do dungeon appear under every rock? I don't know, and in the middle of a crisis with deadly consequences, you already put 2 slow pace interludes about never talk before character.

The way the MC just start that torture thingy was just so out of nowhere that it crumbles the story for me, I read some seriously sh*tty character, but without a introduction arc where you can get a feel for the MC that just is, GHA!! What just happen?

And the way glory just accept it and is madly in love to the point of "having nothing to lose" when she thinks the MC is dead, in just a few hours is again, what?

In conclusion, I can see this be a good story for some people, just not me.

I'm really enjoying this novel so fare. The multiple point of views could have been handled a bit differently but I truthy think they are a good addition since it allows you to see what is happening in the world. If you have the free time I suggest giving this a try.
