She enjoyed the sounds around her: rustling leaves, snow, winter—the season's name is winter. Musing, she hummed a sound, distancing herself from the noise of people being killed.
The horse beneath her stilled as she looked to the ground. Her head tilted aside a blue circle. A blue circle, another gate, she jumped from the horse's back and walked through the blue.
Home.

English is not my first language, so there will be mistakes. I will try to avoid them but make no promises.
The story and the world are the strong points of this novel. Unfortunately, they are really dragged down by the other parts.
Overall 3/5. Doesn't qualify for anything more than that.
Dropped.

I really liked the concept and world building of the story although the grammar needs some work
I really liked the fact that there are many characters from different nationalities... and I had an idea why not include monsters from different nationalities in our world you know like there are genies from Middle East, elfs in England, kitsune (magic foxes) in japan
Also I feel that the monsters are too two dimensional creatures that see to know only how to attack and defend
There can be monsters that are friendly to humans or just not agressive, some can be tricksters like a monkey that will steal our stuff or something like that
Overall it's a good story which needs a bit of work
