Synopsis

Those fools under-powered my summoning ceremony and I was 'left with the bag'. With inadequate soul potential, I've had to curse myself to create an opportunity to live, perhaps live well in this new world. Or...maybe I just totally screwed myself. Even the goddess got curious when she realized what I had done.

“So, she finished. I wonder what took her so long to decide...WTF! Interesting! Let’s mark her for further observation to see how things turn out. This girl is perhaps the most entertaining thing to happen in the last few millennia. Hmm, let’s mess with her just a little bit. Tweak this here...and...a little over there. Heheheh. This will be FUN!"~Goddess

She tweaked my status settings after I had spent so long on them just to make things a little more entertaining. Well, at least she only changed some cosmetic and semantics stuff. None of the vital parts of my status were ruined.

    Spoiler

this story disappoints me. The main character has no agency. She isnt able to do anything at all. Besides listening and protecting her master, she is able to tease and that’s it. Sometimes not even that. She chooses her first master as a best out of the horrible but is brainwashed into abuse without help. The goddess constantly tweaks things, usually in the main characters detriment. The goddess fixes slavery but then makes it so that there’s an item that does the same thing. The main character is constantly forced to do things she doesn’t want to, in a way out of her control. She choose to be a slave, that’s ok. But being eletruted each time she speaks out too much is very dictator like. The main character didn’t choose to do much of anything besides read and the occasional s*x. It’s frustrating when you want to have a more equal relationship and she isn’t getting it. I’m withholding my judgment on the newest master, besides forcing slavery on her she hasn’t been that bad yet.

Just to make it clear, I do like the premise of the story. However things are kinda off the rails atm and might need to be fixed to not throw off everyone but the complete perverts

    Status: Chapter 45: Dryad complications

The story starts of strong. A very interesting twist to the usual isekai formula, tension and troubles right from the start. Our MC (Lily), despite her troublesome start, manages herself quite well and quickly finds a friend (and future love interest) in the princess, Sofy. The tension never disappears completely and things stay interesting. The featured yuri is quite enjoyable, and the budding romance quite cute. The story continues strong until about chapter 20-something, when Lily and Sofy reach the elven lands.

From there however, the story stagnates. Over the following almost 30 chapters, only three instances occur that advance the plot: 1. Lily and Sofy find four new friends. 2. Lily develops a new way to study magic and sells it to the elven government. 3. The gang goes dungeon diving. The first one of these actually isn't bad, it's told in a believable way, so I don't really mind it. The second and third however are quite disappointing, if you were looking for a interesting plot in this story.

The second point is already done after just two chapters and also a major inconsistency in the plot. Lily develops her teaching method thanks to her eidetic memory and having memorized how the system works before being isekai'd. Something the goddess allowed her to keep but forbid her to share it with the inhabitants of the world, as they were supposed to find out themselves. However, the goddess does nothing when Lily sells this off-limits knowledge to the elves.

The third plot point, the dungeon raid, could have been skipped just as well. The entire adventure, including traveling to and from the dungeon, stretches across only three chapters, most of which being the introduction of a new item to the plot and going shopping afterwards. The actual dive is only superficially mentioned.

Onto the yuri: what started as a cute romance with some light kinks being tried out quickly devolves into an orgy fest, the kinks becoming more and more extreme as time goes on. While that might not necessarily be a bad thing, it becomes a bit boring if not repulsive as about 70-80% of the 30-something chapters following the start is about having s*x. A good portion of it is quite enjoyable actually, but as said before, the kinks become more and more extreme, to the point where quite the amount of it is just straight up abuse. And not just during s*x, also some of the later punishments Sofy forces upon Lily become much more extreme. Sofy started out being uncomfortable ordering Lily around, and hardly ever punished her. Later on however she enforces quite serious punishments for the most invalid reasons, like some light teasing from Lily at one time led to her being forced to stand tiptoed for 24 hours while being deprived of almost all her senses and given electric shocks whenever she tried to relax or lower herself. And later, Lily got put under the same treatment again only to serve as a demonstration to one of their friends on how Lily's punishment curse works. Some people might just put this of as a kink, but to me that is just straight abuse, especially since Lily was expected to just go on her daily activities afterwards like nothing happened.

Next point: inconsistencies. I already mentioned this before, but the story has to fight with a few of those. A good one to address links to the previous point, abuse. Lily's curse essentially has a fail-save, that forces her master-servant relation to be reversed, if the master abuses her. Despite what I mentioned earlier however, nothing ever happens. Even worse, that fail-save is even removed by the goddess later, along with Lily's safety net conditions that would free her from her curse should her master pass away, forcing her to be a servant for the rest of her life. By the way, Lily will never age and die from natural causes, making this all the worse.

Another, albeit smaller point are previously introduced characters, like the other summoned heroes or the maid Lily has her first time with. Both end up entirely forgotten and are never mentioned again, as far as I've read (ch. 45) despite Lily's initial interests in the heroes or her oath of revenge against Sofy's elder brother that forced a new personality on the maid to get back at Lily for rejecting his advances.

tl;dr: The story starts off strong, but drops a lot in quality after about 20 chapters. If you are looking for an interesting story about adventuring in a new world with yuri as a side dish, this is not for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for yuri smut with strong bdsm features, then this is the story for you.

There’s no world building. We get told what happens instead of being shown. Paragraphs are too long.

The story plot is good, but there’s no sense of immersion since we aren’t being shown what’s happening.

Status: chapter 73: first day jitters

This story is exactly what the summary and tags promise and it's really fun, one that I've quite enjoyed. I really like the core premise, I've found it really compelling and I've especially appreciated the relatively light-hearted tone of the story. I quite like Lilia, Kat and Sofia. My pet theory is that Kat is sort of manipulating situations so that Lilia is eventually strong enough to properly select Kat as her mistress, but regardless of what happens I'm quite keen to see where it goes.

I thought the dialogue was pretty well done, it never felt noticeably stiff, stilted or unrealistic. The technical writing was also clear and
engaging. Whether that was fights, regular scenes or smut (though I think some scenes could've done with a bit more length/fleshing out).

It certainly has its flaws, mostly down to pacing which I would put down to two things. The first is a more 'pants-ing' approach to writing (as opposed to a planning approach), which has meant that some arcs/scenes can end quite abruptly when a new/better idea appears. This can be easily seen in the length and ending to the fairy realm arc, where the tension of the 'escape from the human realm' arc wrapped up, but no significant new challenges/antagonists replaced them. It can also be seen in how the characters have changed over the story.

The second is a looser focus on what the core of the story is (is it kinky smut? Is it a swords an sorcery adventure? Is it a romance/drama? All of the above?). Which means that the narrative focus can get a bit jumbled, especially on a scene level, as it switches priority. This weakens the impact of whatever is happening, whether it be a character moment, emotional beat (I found the end of the fairy realm arc (Chapter 55: Sudden farewell) to be particularly choppy and confusing which realm undercut the 'emotional turmoil' Lilia experienced) or 'steamy'-ness of a scene.

While the contents of this review has probably seemed pretty negative/critical, I hope you take this review in the spirit it was meant, and don't let it undertcut the fact that I really enjoyed the story. I mostly write reviews with constructive criticism in mind, not as an actual review and both of these issues are pretty fixable. From your bio it seems you're taking a more planned approach to the latter half of the story which should really help you alleviate these issues, with drafts and reviews. If you had any questions or wanted me to expand upon anything shoot me a DM and I'll let you know. Otherwise, thanks for writing this story!
