Talia was an avid novel reader in the modern era. She had just turned thirty, and managed to buy her first house. The only thing she would change was the era she was born in. In the modern world, the real estate market had already collapsed, and house flipping was a thing of the past.
But this was her dream. A house to renovate, and sell for a profit. Sitting on the couch in that first house, she picked up an old romance novel and prepared to eat her supper. She purchased the book due to the name of a side character, which had her name, and appearance. The problem was the book was written in the early seventies. In Talia's eyes, that book was horrible.
The male lead was an egotistical asshole who thought far too much of himself. He had many conquests, and for some reason, the side character had been quite jealous of his relationship with a female lead. Her jealousy led to a terrible ending, and it made Talia furious.
Why did she even pick up that awful piece of fiction? When she asked herself that question, a freak lightning storm formed overhead, and within minutes, her house was struck, and burned to the ground.
When Talia opened her eyes, she couldn't see the flames, or hear the lightning. Instead, she saw the face of a man she hated intensely. The male lead of that awful book. Her head hurt, and memories not her own invaded her consciousness.
What could Talia do? She was almost fifty years in the past, and was in the lion's den. Then she was struck with one realization. This woman she now inhabited was not jealous of the female lead, and did not want to harm her.
She wanted to protect her.
WIP - Chapters will be added on Wednesdays only from July 7th onward.
I have three active novels to write, but I am a little bit distracted by life right now.
This book is the current focus, and there are chapters in reserve so the posts will not stop.
As new ideas emerge, I have to balance work as I do not make any money from these novels.
It's purely for the enjoyment of writing.
The sex scenes will not be the focus, but part of the story.
I'm not very far yet, but I really am enjoying every bit I read. ^_^ I look forward to reading more every chance I get!
