He enjoys inflicting mental pain on others at the expense of his own, and hence, despite denying being inflicted with chuunibyou, he is actually sick.

Hiro Fate, known as 'Hero' among his cohort. The 'protagonist' of the story.

He's our main character's best friend, because like every slice of life story, a man has to have a best friend, right?
