16-year-old William Douglas is a martial arts and pop culture enthusiast. Victim of a car accident, he dies and finds himself reincarnated in the world of his choice by an unknown deity. More often than not, reincarnates like him choose to go into a world of video games, otome games or anime. However, William's choice surprised our deity when he chose to be reincarnated in the world of Kung Fu Panda.
Granting him several wishes to start his new life. William chooses to be reincarnated as Tai Lung. However, the deity told him that she could not destroy Tai Lung's soul, and would therefore have to merge their 2 souls. Sharing a body with Tai Lung's original spirit for several months, each side gradually learns from the other's memories and experiences. William gains Tai Lung's martial arts experience, as well as his attachment to, then disappointment with, Shifu, his adoptive father. Tai Lung loses his obsession with becoming the dragon warrior, realizing that he can pursue what is truly important to him. Before finally merging as one.
However, sentenced to life imprisonment in Chorh-Gom, Tai Lung must wait a few more weeks, according to William's memories, to escape and set out on a quest for redemption and inner peace.

[Author's note: Hello everyone, this is much a resume of the start of the novel than a synopsis, but i wanted to share with you the direction this novel would go. Also i do not own anything in the kung fu panda universe apart from my originals characters.]
The author did a pretty good job. Easy to understand, and nothing that made me cringe. I'm looking forward to the next chapters. I highly suggest keeping a slow pace. I feel like it will work out better in the long run. If the novel focuses on the thoughts, motivations and character growth, instead of the movies info.
