Hera Cooper is about to get her final approval for the Deep Space Diplomatic Exploration program, and pilot a brand new DeepDiplo MKIX S-Xplorer Mecha to find the next great alien species humanity can connect with and achieve her life long dream. Meet and make meaningful connection with alien life.

There are two problems. Her co-pilot is her nemesis. The mecha relies on the interconnection between the erogenous zones of the two pilots to create the proper neural responses for the mech to function.

Expectation setting:

First of all, this is soft-scifi. I am not smart enough for hard scifi and don't enjoy it that much - if that's your thing, this isn't it.
Second - The sex and smut in this is interwoven with the plot in a way that I can't imagine it being possible to skip. It is integral - and you will likely have to skip most of the story to avoid it. If you do not want to read smut, this story is not for you.
Romance, Enemies to lovers tags - I like the actual emotional relationships to be a slow burn. Don't expect this to be fulfilled quickly, it will take a while.

Also Hera swears a lot when she's angry. If you dislike foul mouthed women it's probably not for you.

Kinks that you are likely to read in this story regularly are as follows:
Hate-fucking, bondage/restraints, machines, aliens, unusually large insertions, excessive emissions. Everything is consensual, but the entire premise would definitely be deemed problematic by current world standards.
