Dean Anderson was a game developer, who left a famous computer and mobile game company to form his own. His ambitious idea was to develop a real time, MMORPG that encompassed the real world, a fully integrated game that blurred reality from the game.

However, he ran out of his initial funds, and had to borrow from unsavory characters.

Because he owed them a large amount of money, he had to keep his relationship with his wife, model Madeline Summers a secret, to prevent her from being threatened while he still owed money to gangsters.

They were highschool sweethearts, and after graduating college, they had gotten married. But due to circumstances, Dean had to openly divorce her to not get her involved in his debt, even though they deeply loved each other.

They stayed at different places, Madeline in her home they bought together, and Dean in a rented apartment where he stayed by himself. Of course, he secretly slept over at their home whenever he could to spend time with her.

This of course put a strain on their relationship, added by the fact that her modelling career was taking off, and to get higher paying jobs, she was asked to do more and more things that were uncomfortable for Dean.

Due to his debt, Dean desperately took on as many jobs as he could that allowed him to work on his project. At the same time, Madeline was pressured to do more and more risque work that were highly paid, to help Dean pay off his debt.

One day, due to strange circumstances, he somehow found himself with the abilities of his game character. Will this improve his life, or lead it spiraling out of control into the abyss
