At first, there was no choice for me but to take upon my mother’s status of ‘slave’.
My life changed into that of neglect and abuse.
Then, after a few years, I was then forced to take the ‘Mister’s’ place, to go and fight in the war…
My life changed into that of trying to survive, not in just living as a man, but that of blood…And the wild, natural environment.
Then, again, my life makes another turn…And I was forced once again to do something for someone who had treated me poorly in the past.
I thought that my future might lead to something nice, considering I knew the person I was being forced to marry…But, he seemed to not acknowledge me at all…
…I think though…My biggest plan…Is that I want to make my life exactly that…Mine!
Malory is an innocent girl, even though she goes through a lot of troubles, she tends to keep her innocence.
When she is able to leave the Billings residence, she is then starting to come out of her shell, only to worry more and more about the secret that she carries.
Thanks to a number of people and a strange charm that she carries, Malory is able to survive and not fall completely into the depths of her vortex…
Most of this book has been read out by me, the author, and is posted under highlights in twitch, under the same name. https://www.twitch.tv/tlcsdestiny/videos

I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com
First off for anyone wanting to check this out,
1) this story is quite dark at times and the MC often depressed/afraid/fearful, but it makes it all the better when she pushes through it.
2) I like a slow story with realistic emotions. This story did a pretty good job there (she doesn't just brush off abuse the second day after something happens. She also has believable emotions for her age)
3) The world building and grammer are decent, flows better than average for SH.
The only cons/critics I have are: the end is a bit rushed (spoilers, her decision to finally run away at the end... but her turmoil on coming back was good.... Also I think everyone wanted more on how the mother was killed).... I also know she was basically broken (and I think it was good she wasn't making eleborate plans), but having her make a bit more effort to try to better her life (like in the army making a concious effort to avoid trouble more than just smiling... maybe at least trying to understand what is happening in the war) a little would have made us root for her more.
