Aila spent most of her life sick, or in a hospital. Her parents spent everything they earned to treat her cancer, but it was to no avail. The cancer was not only the cause of her death, but the key to her rebirth.

On her last breath, she passed through a portal made of elemental essence from a world not her own.
In this world, that which killed her began to make her stronger.

Aila wakes up in a universe with different natural laws, and vastly different animals.
The rank one spirit beast, the flame wolf, sees her eat the flame berries off its carefully hidden fire berry bush.

"Oh crap." Aila is face to face with an angry wolf with purple and grey fur, the kind that did not exist on Earth.
Between her and her empty stomach, that wolf had to go.
