At the end of everything, the Final Reaper decided he hadn’t been a hero. Driven by a desire to right the wrongs he was subjected to, he killed everyone who wronged him or his people - which turned out to be everyone that wasn’t killed by someone else first. He'd won - but it was a hollow victory.

Eventually, Order’s Voice found a way out. If the only existing being would agree to give up most of his power, the Voice could reset the multiverse to an earlier time with a few minor changes. Of course, the Voice couldn't ask it that way. It could only ask if the Final Reaper was willing to start over from when Earth was first brought into Order.

It was an easy decision, and yet it wasn’t. Was he willing to go through eons of pain again to not be alone?

Yes. In a heartbeat.

Not that his heart beat anymore. Now it would. Perhaps he could even be a hero, this time.

When he landed in his old body - more or less - on Earth, the Final Reaper once again became Thomas. He was both and neither. He needed a new name for a new life.

While this is technically a System Apocalypse story, it's a System Apocalypse that is designed to have a large percentage of the population survive and prosper. There are a lot of problems that come with the appearance of the Voice, and it's entirely possible to lose. Earth has some special opportunities, but also special challenges.

The first time around, Earth won the first round and lost the second. Serenity has ten years from when the Voice arrives to prevent that from happening. It will be a group effort; Serenity can't win alone - which is difficult for someone who's been alone for as long as he has.

Of course, that's only his second priority.

[This story is a modern world LitRPG where I try and balance the real world, the other world and various character-development scenarios. The pace can be described as 'measured', as there is a lot of 'slice-of-life' style events to balance 'number-go-up' and Territory capture]

What can you expect from this story? MC and side characters who are flawed and make mistakes, but ultimately grow and change, bettering themselves and the world around them. Yes, the MC does start off a bit weak and whiny, but he does get over it as the story progresses. It's a slow burn though.

Likewise Harem and romance. it is most definitely harem, though again it's a slow burn and not easy to reach. There are some r18 scenes with them, but these don't happen until a fair way into the story.

Real-world consequences of power. I'm trying to explore this slowly, so expect politics down the line.

Base-building in both the real and the other world, growing power, money, influence and more. it's a slow burn but a focus.

Cultivators, Faeries, Demons, Gods and more, though again, it takes a while for more and more of these to appear.

This didn't really have much to do with Derek. Derek was kind of a loner. Yeah, he enjoyed the occasional chat or drink with others, but he never stayed in one place too long or really got to know anybody new.

Derek did happen to be rather strong. After the years of fighting monster and Invaders alone, he had become quite adept at surviving. One thing that helped keep him alive was his refusal to get involved with others. He rarely cooperated with teams.

One day, Derek broke his rules and decided to lend some help, as the mission didn't seem too hard. He should have stuck to being alone.

ATM is part of a whole different multiverse (it can still have crossovers but much harder in-verse). Although starting at the same place, UE is set farther from the center of the Maelstrom (a collection of multiverses) of The Oscillation series, so gods can be more powerful here than in TO. UE is connected to my TOverse through the crystal gateways that Elinor encounters here on Earth.
UE follows Elinor as she tries to survive in the chaotic world by building an empire and has to figure out plots that are happening around her, but mostly about the survival of her empire and family with the insane alien threats of these other worlds. TO is mostly happening on Earth and is at the center of the dimensional Maelstrom (more on that will be revealed in time).

Due to the chaos going on, there are rules that limit the power of gods, and what they can do, where UE focuses on the outer zone conflicts, TO focuses on the inner zone conflicts, with mythological, legendary, and godly figures throughout history empowering them and trying to gain their favor.
