• Arfdol - Wolf with a rats tail and opossum markings.

• Togurin - Exists north of Ranthor.
• Wem - A burrowing animal with large front paws for digging. similar to a mole.

• Mycus Strangulatus Pila - Also known as Puffballs are an explosive fungal growth that exist in a symbiotic. relationship with Rootsuckers. 

• Sanguine Moss - A species of moss that requires a blood rich environment to survive. Only known to exist in the undead battlefield. Is used in the creation of special wound sealing bandages, but requires processing to be used without causing blood clots.

• Rootsuckers - Tree that reproduces exclusively through its roots.

Guild - an organization that can be found in most cities and towns. manages relations and jobs between contractors.

Alderman - The guilds manager.

Clerk - Guild worker.

Crew - Similar to a mercenary group, with a wider appeal for work and operates within guild law.

Master - Leads a crew of guild members to complete jobs.

Expert - On par with a master of smaller crews. Work under the master of a larger crew.

Journeyman - graduated apprentice.

Apprentice - New member into a crew often sponsored by the master to learn skills.

Freelance - A guild member that isn't a part of a crew, but may party up with others for larger jobs.

Renowned Freelance - Freelance, but can stand toe to toe with a master.

Soul Cast

There are two paths one can take when drawing upon the power of the spirit. Empowerment and manifestation. As well as an overarching concept of elemental staining.

Elements - subnatural forces that mimic concepts of the physical realm.

   Simple elements - fire/water/earth/air

   Amplified elements lightning/ice/crystal/vaccuum

   Combinant elements mud/lava/sand/steam/dark/light

   Abstract elements - psychic/nature/void

   Staining - when an element is channeled through something it leaves a residual stain. In most cases stains disappear after a given time. Using a different or opposing element on a stained object will have negative results. 

Manifestion - The act of manifesting a phenomena using the spirit to channel the elements.

A manifestation has three parts. 

   Actify - The direct channeling of elements. For the majority of humans this requires a catalyst.

   Maintain - Prolonging the existence of a manifestation. The medium a manifestation is actified into will greatly affect the difficulty of maintaining it.

   Diminish - When no further power is put into a manifestation it will diminish. However, depending on what and how a phenomena was manifested can produce undiminishing results of varying degrees.

Empowerment - The act of channeling the power of the spirit into the body using techniques.

The type of power is dependent on the aspect or stain. All souls have aspects, but can be overwritten by being stained with elements.

   Aspect vary, but most are based on principles of movement. Which can allow the user to manipulate their body to act out such movements, even if physically impossible for the human body, without injury.

   A Stained soul grants the abilities of a particular element. Allowing the user to be immune to said element and even emanate it.

Regardless of a souls aspect or stain, all allow the enhancement of same abilities.

   Humans - The first intelligent species to walk the world. A robust race that has survived every one of its self inflicted disasters. They Rule the majority of the Empori Continent, with their current largest nation being Elmanta.

   Giants - Created from the Ascent of Lark. They once ruled the entire known world and were still not satisfied, going so far as to pull the Apulean continent from the sea to further their dominion. The Thanaturge Wuben brought about their Extinction. 

   Gigantmen - Descendants of giants interbreeding with human slaves. With an ancient history of persecution from both of their parental races they tend keep to their secluded tribes in the northern mountain range.

   Ourns - Four armed race of brutes, that live on the north eastern part of the continent. Birthed from a misguided belief held by Kuppashi.

   Gomehs - Short child like people with round ears. While lacking in physical ability they are very charismatic. Created by giants that selectively bred their human slaves to be better pets.

   Dwellers - A rumored subterranean race that live beneath the Apulean continent. Little is known of them. Potential similar background to Gomehs, but instead were bred to be better miners.

   Ev'Ls - Originated from the Great Hollow. are oft of thin build like a starved man. They live lengthy lives, but are usual spiritually inept. Are also capable of hearing sounds that normal humans cannot, their elongated ears aid in this.

   Dryads - Reports are scarce until two centuries after the founding of Elmanta. They appear as an amalgamation of plant and man that typically spawn within close proximity to different human settlements. A mysterious people that appear and all make journey to same place. The island of Meninx.

Created in the conflict of natural laws between two powerful beings. Cores provide strange abilities to those that develop them. 

The difference between hellion and exalted cores arise from what create they spawn in. Should a beast or monster have a core it is considered to be the influence of the Hellion blessing destructive beings with more power. If it is an intelligent race, the core is exalted and a blessing from Elman or the divine.

Cores can be removed from their holders and used by aethersmiths to create hellion gear. Even if the core was once exalted the gear made from it is still considered hellion, and by some even more so.

Hellion Gear is typically arms an armor produced using Hellion cores. They posses abilities derived from the core used to make them, and require spiritual power from the user to function.

A common Hellion Gear is the bone sword. Made when an aethersmith carves a bone core and places it into a proper handle meant for channeling. When the user puts power into the handle it is passed to the core which consumes the spirit and produces a blade made of bone. While such a blade is inferior in toughness to one of metal, it can be broken and brought back an unlimited number of times never losing it's edge.
