‘Ugh, is this Hell?’

She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’.

‘Furry?’

She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots.

‘What the hell?’

She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her.

‘Don’t tell me!’

Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind.

‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was.

"These soft paws, this cuddly and fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death, or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter, that is one long and realistic dream."

Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality.

Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface.

With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this?

Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later...

Just a little note about triggers: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature.

If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-)

This is my take on the theme of people being stuck in a game a world.

What to expect: a classic European fantasy realm with some twists, a band of misfits beating the odds, drastic feminizations, moral corruption, embarrassing situations, and plenty of sex.
For those reading for the sex, please be patient. It's going to be a gradual build up to the truly smutty stuff. Also, unlike some of my other stories, it won't be constant.

For those reading for the game play elements: there will be some, but I'm not planning on getting into the nitty-gritty of it. Mainly, the RPG will just be the world they're in. So, if you want to see the result of every saving throw, this might not be for you.

The NPC-MAKER only has one goal… and that is to rule the world with his NPCs! He has the power to create any NPC he desires as long as he has the resources for it. There are way too many enemies in the world trying to kill him so he must create many NPCs stronger than himself to defend him and his empire!
