Just going to be brutally honest. For all that there's a decent plot here, there are an absurd amount of 2-dimensional leaps in logic. Weirdly uncomfortable dialogue and a mix of either too detailed thoughts that drag things out or too vague thoughts that gloss over personality and leave us with 2-dimensional characters. Both could probably be fixed by following the "show don't tell" saying. As with almost all reincarnation stories that don't time skip childhood, you'll find scenes where a small child is doing adult things like interacting with bandits and no one realized he's a child. In one case I'm sure they'll say its because he "made his voice deeper."... A child's attempt at making their voice deeper is laughable at best. And thats ignoring the size issue. So among that and other similar issues, it feels like the author is just rushing plot points rather than thinking about what would make sense. Lastly, the author goes on and on in comments where people say things similar to what I've mentioned about how chapters 1 through 30 are just him starting out and it gets better and more edited afterward, and how he'll eventually go back. One, it doesnt get much better afterward, two it doesn't really matter if it gets better afterward when the first part turns people away. So I'll say that unless the author isn't concerned about reader retention and is just writing to practice writing, they probably need to get their priorities sorted out.

This novel is one I am looking forward to. With the inclusion of a reincarnated soul (though given memory block ugh) alongside noble intrigue, this is an interesting novel. The MC is always cautious and isn't prone to outbursts when things go his way. Instead he endures for the right moment to turn that situation into his advantage. I hope to read more.

I like the background build of the story a lot, the character building is better than most novels, looking good so far!
