... What kind of word vomit did I just read? I know the point of fanfiction is to give a creative outlet to people who want to approach a series in their own ways, but more often than not, they are pretty terrible. This isn't an exception to that, as it reads really badly. I was holding my head because I had a headache reading this crap. I stopped reading simply because the story wasn’t going in a direction I wanted.
The main problem is that the author made the MC too strong so in order to create an actually interesting story, the author forces to hold the MC back his power just for the sake of progress. Problem is that making the MC purposely hold back his powers makes the MC seem insincere.
He hides his identity, his background, his race, his feelings. It’s just all so fake. It’s clear that he isn’t there to actually help but rather there just to satisfy himself.
While I’m not against those types of selfish mcs, this story clearly isn’t doing it intentionally. And purposely frames the MC like he has the moral high ground and is therefore doing the right thing.
Usually there’s a point where something shocks the MC to the point of “oh sh*t this isn’t just a game anymore” but I doubt this MC will ever reach it.
