First of all, this is soft-scifi. I am not smart enough for hard scifi and don't enjoy it that much - if that's your thing, this isn't it.
Second - The sex and smut in this is interwoven with the plot in a way that I can't imagine it being possible to skip. It is integral - and you will likely have to skip most of the story to avoid it. If you do not want to read smut, this story is not for you.
Romance, Enemies to lovers tags - I like the actual emotional relationships to be a slow burn. Don't expect this to be fulfilled quickly, it will take a while.

Also Hera swears a lot when she's angry. If you dislike foul mouthed women it's probably not for you.

Kinks that you are likely to read in this story regularly are as follows:
Hate-fucking, bondage/restraints, machines, aliens, unusually large insertions, excessive emissions. Everything is consensual, but the entire premise would definitely be deemed problematic by current world standards.
