It has an intriguing start with a hard-hitting set-up for the main character's (human-) life/background. We get a glimpse at the plays and machinations that went on leading up to her, well, new life. I don't want to spoil things here.
From then on, you are going to read a well-written, entertaining, slice-of-life story introducing Huli Jing and us to the world she found herself in. New customs, new ways of living, and new opportunities. We get a glimpse of where this world is or what it is at the end of the first volume, further escalating the mystery behind the story and how she ended up as a little fox.
It was and is a greatly entertaining read that I can suggest to others who are into slice and life stories to check it out!
