Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. This is my own original work, with obvious inspirations from the likes of Gundam, Dune, 1984, Evangellion, Grimgar and anime in general.

There is a degree of deconstructionism towards the mecha genre involved with an onus on taking a more practical look at the features of that mode of storytelling, giving actually worldbuilding explanations for some of the fantastical equipment involved and using the likes of military structure and resource management in conjunction with the story, but hopefully this is something anyone can enjoy with no prior knowledge of the genre traditions.
